You might also try Ancient Empires Lux or American History Lux. I have tried the demos, and they are pretty difficult IMO.

LOTR is copy right protected. It's been suggested many times already. Map making can be great fun. I suggest you try to make some yourself to spice things up around here. Cheers.

Well, we should get this right before we spent too much time on the graphics......

So no Olympic 5-rings... What about the 5 lux-world logo Mark has uploaded on my behalf?

Paranoia stated the IOC is paranoid about using "Olympic". Let's not use that...

"Winter games" should be okay, also in combination with "2010".

"Vancouver winter games 2010" will be pushing our luck i guess...

So a question to the mods.... Can we continue with "Winter games 2010" and the uploaded "5 lux world" logo?

There's been lots of talk in this town about the IOC's ridiculous copyright protections. In spite of what that wiki commons page says, I'm pretty sure the olympic rings are protected by copyright.

This map has some factors that greatly unbalancing imho.
Some points:
- Base income of Germany and Central EU too high -> great advantage at least in the first rounds
- Base income GB (5 spots, 2 to defend) with 9 too high and really funny compared to i.e. spain (9 spots, 2 to defend) with income 6
Some other continents also have doubtful base incomes.
I've just been witness of a rather long game, in which the player holding GB could quite easily "care" for the other players.

What do you think?

True but I like Nimrod's map better than that one. I was looking forward to playing Siege that week as well. hehe no worries though. Very clever timing then for Pearl Harbor.
