Actually, just a coincidence.
It had actually been slotted for this week a while back
But yes, we do need more maps. So get to work! And try to make some Iphone friendly ones too.

Well it seems "renaissance italy" was too complex and unbalanced with too many one-territory continents.
One of the first maps i made is "oblivia". Simple, balanced and no one-territory continents. Or is 144 countries too much?

Just a tad.
Unfortunately we have found that maps with that many countries typically don't do well as MOTW. But if you can get someone to second your request then we'll add it to the line-up.

See my posts above. It should be more simple, better balanced and with not too many territories.
Could Simple&balanced be a good MOTW?

This weeks map is a marathon fest with way too many countries and also a negative income, one country cont with no strategic value which is a big no-no in map design for those taking notes.

Why can no map be repeated? Are there really enough maps to have a new one every week. It is just I have missed some of the MOTW weeks and I amsure others hve so a repeat of good ones might be good. Just a thought.

Since at least one map a week seems to be submitted, i'd say that there are plenty djD.

we have 671 as of this time.
having only played about 275
it still leaves us with almost 400 left.
you can argue that some are not playable for motw but at least half of those are.
in such case you have enough maps to last for at least the next 4 years (not counting all the new ones that are coming out each week).
I'm pretty sure that if in the event we ever ran out of maps D will probably consider rolling out some of the old ones. No need to cross that bridge till he has to though.

I am poor at map strategy. I have a map with a such a continent and want to know why this is bad.
Do you mean a single country continent with no bonus is a no-no, or one with no bonus and placed in a non-strategic location?

he is talking about 1 country continents that have negative value
a country like that (that has no strategic value), nobody will ever bother to hit leaving the person that started with it in a disadvantage.
