Maybe we should make this thread a sticky in the Lux Talk instead.mbauer wrote:MOTW requests
Keep in mind, you can also oppose maps in that thread. If someone requests a map and you disagree, voice that disagreement. Otherwise we'll think that everyone approves. That map was requested and no one rose any objections.

MOTW is more part of Lux talk than it is of MapLab.
Only thing in common is the fact they had to start from here during their creation.
After they are released they are officially part of Lux.
It would also get more attention in there and people would start being more aware and more willing to express their opinions.
Just a thought

MOTW discussions
I agree with Enokrad. The discussion on the Manatus map just moved from the lux talk forum to the Map lab forum. I think it will receive much less attention there. The Map Lab forum is only visited by boring, dusty, grey, introvert and feeble map makers, which aren't communicative at all.
I can imagine that someone wants all map discussions in the map lab forum, but why not keep a copy in the lux talk forum?

New MOTW
Well Mark,
As it is clear that you like experimenting with MOTWs, I propose Simple&Balanced.... I know, it's my own map... Again... Next time I'll propose a map by someone else. Maybe you should, however, have a few more conventional maps first....

"the battle of" mnem
I propose "the battle of" by mnem as MOTW. Fun to play, and difficult to win in a offline bot game...

MOTW
Hello all,
Re the MOTW - A few of you have already had a look at my first map 'THE HOT GATES' which Enok helped me finish via the lab.
As it's my first I'm sure there's room for improvement. I have a background in animation and illustration which I hope shows in the look of the map. Window dressing aside - does it play well!? Of course I'd love to have it available as a MOTW and put to the test so I can best judge that.
Is there a formal way to submit my map for consideration as MOTW?
If not please consider this as my informal application
Below is a snapshot of it (It's not avail as a plug-in now but I believe will be very soon)

Re: MOTW
I don't know if there's a formal way to propose. If there's one, someone could post please.Behemoth wrote: Is there a formal way to submit my map for consideration as MOTW?

Re: MOTW
Yes, you post your submission or request in the thread "Map of the Week Requests" in the MapLAB....Behemoth wrote: Is there a formal way to submit my map for consideration as MOTW?
Oh.... Um.....
You're set
That's a lot to live up to - gulp! Thank you for the kind words and support. At the very least I'd be happy with a fh for a game or twoEnokrad wrote:Yeah, i second/third whatever the motion for The Hot Gates to become MOTW.
The final version has a really nice flow and theme to it.
This could possibly become as popular as Rome II
Congrats to Behe for such a great map
