c.2125 BC-c.1648 BC The Egyptian Kingdom has been split for thousands of years. Lower Egypt, with its capital in the great city of Memphis, is an economic juggernaut. Situated at the mouth of the ominous Nile River, Memphis commands a dominating presence of the region. Their leader, the aging but still omnipotent King Mentuhotep II, plans on extending his domain and securing the title of Pharaoh of all of Egypt. Further south however, Upper Egypt has seen a new King rise to power, the illustrious King Amenemhat I. Amenemhat has grown to be a powerful threat. His great capital city, Thebes, has seen a boom in trade and population and their influence grows. Amenemhat, like his rival to the north, is eyeing the title of Pharaoh of Egypt and plans on reaching his goal by any means necessary. To the south of the Nile's first cataract, two Nubian generals are mobilizing to curb this growing Egyptian menace. Meanwhile, the mysterious "Sea peoples" have invaded the Sinai peninsula and are positioned to enter Egyptian soil.
