For years the Roman legions ruled the area with an iron fist, brutally subduing the native Britons. The Romans transformed the rolling hills of southern Essex into a bustling center for commerce and trade, the jewell of the western Roman Empire. But now, the Empire is crumbling! Invading Barbarians from Germany and Gaul have cut communications to Britannia, stretched Roman resources, and are rapidly descending upon the city of Londinium! To make matters worse for the Romans, one of their own sons, General Carausius, has defected and proclaimed himself Emperor of Britain. In this dark time of uncertainty it is your duty to restore peace to the region and secure Londinium!
