The Siege
version 1.5
rated 2.3 (61 votes)
by Ted The Bug

Vers.1.5 Foxes the MAJOR connection bug. The swamps can now be accessed from the outside.
Meanwhile, while fierce battles are being fought in the West, the Eastern city of Duncanton has been attacked by the Hielanders, and is close to being taken! The Eindonians respond by holding San Reelt, a fortress, under siege. However, Duncanton itsself is nearly surrounded, and if it is, control over San Reelt is lost, and Duncanton will be used for evil means. General Harper was keeping Duncanton safe, but he was stabbed and killed. After you defeat the Goodwinians, you rush over to replace him, but you may not make it in time...

Gettysburg Campaign
version 1.1
rated 2.3 (59 votes)
by uncle george

The Gettysburg Campaign: June-July 1863. Southern States have already seceded from the Union in America; the Civil War is fast becoming one of the bloodiest in history. Leaders of the Confederacy have determined the need for an offensive strike against the North. Northern States are defended by the Army of the Potomac under the command of General Hooker. Intelligence reports raise suspicions that the Army of Northern Virginia, led by General Robert E. Lee, may be planning something. But their movements north into Pennsylvania have thus far been masked by the Blue Ridge Mountains and Lee's menacing cavalry led by J.E.B. Stuart. President Lincoln has lost faith in General Hooker and replaces him with General Meade only days before the battle at Gettysburg (a key decision as it turned out). Will the Union's fish-hook defense save the day? Will the Confederate's fast-hitting rebel army change the course of history? Or will a third element, call it chance, be the deciding factor?

Spiral of Social Fear
version 1.2
rated 2.3 (48 votes)
by Estelendur (Esty)

A Luxified representation of the obstacles some people experience when trying to form a meaningful connection with another person (in real life, anyway).

Also, this map is intended to be played with Random Starting Order off, but really can work either way.

It looks nicest with fairly thick borders on the countries.

The Relief of Leiden
version 3.0
rated 2.3 (36 votes)
by Yvon Tripper

October 3, 1574: Leiden, a canal-laced Dutch milltown, is in Protestant revolt against Spanish Catholic rule. For the past six months, Spanish troops have used the Singel, a large moat surrounding the town, to trap the townspeople inside, slowly starving them to death. One-third of the town has already starved. Surrender is no option, as the Spanish have vowed to execute everyone they capture.

The Dutch hero, William of Orange, has broken open Holland's dikes to flood the Spanish position and break the seige.

The Dutch and Spanish navies are now fighting a brutal, canal-by-canal battle in and around the city. What awaits Leiden: freedom or starvation?

Solitaire
version 1.03
rated 2.2 (41 votes)
by Eice

A map from the inspiration of Solitaire: Seemingly easy, yet actually quite tough.

The connections are related to Solitaire rules, so here are the basics:
Card Slot connects everywhere
Aces connect to respective Twos
Kings connect to all other Kings
Cards connect up and down freely
Cards connect to same number and color (Two Spades - Two Clubs)
Cards connect to adjacent same-suit card (Three Hearts - Two/Four Hearts)

The bonuses reflect the nature of solitaire: Usually slow moving or occasionally no movement at all.

The Battle For Salton
version 1.1
rated 2.2 (40 votes)
by Ted The Bug

The people of Saltin are merchants, rich people who buy cheap and sell expensive. Some of them just buy, all odd places called 'chains', which seem to be 'Marts' for buying Walls. These oddities adorn the more Southern Krakker region, where nobody even notices that the 'chains' don't sell walls and in fact wall is misspelled. Sen. Chip Cooky said they will never last. He was wrong. Now, he and his other people fight agains the wall store, and, guess what, the job is in Gen Peter Parker's hands. Sadly, there was a little old lady having trouble crossing the street because a robo-octopus was blocking her way, so the army takes you instead. Good luck! Says President Smushh. Good bye! Says Queen Elizabeth Moo. Painey was to busy hunting lawyers...that is, quails, and was unavailable for comment.
PS Abendroth, your map RULES!

The Rabbit Cubes
version 1.1
rated 2.2 (37 votes)
by Sylocat

A simple map based on the old "impossible triangle cubes" optical illusion.

Each face of each cube can attack the two other faces on that cube, plus the same face on an adjacent cube, which means that every country on the map can be attacked by exactly 4 others. Best with border thickness set to THIN.

The design on the cubes is my company logo, and the background art is a compilation of some of the computer graphics art I've done, as more advertizing for my one-man freelance computer graphics studio. Enjoy the country names as well. This also celebrates the opening of the mapmaking division of my studio.

The Desert Ruins
version 1.0
rated 2.2 (37 votes)
by Ted The Bug

VICTORY! Eindonia has conquered the realm of Ahien! But in the Gustavian Desert, ruins have been unearthed, of a city with the original Clam Scriptures. The neutral Du'Lhorins, a desert tribe, are working with Eindonia to excavate the ruins. But the calm hating Goodwinians are hot on the Eindonians trail, eager to destroy the rare scriptures, and smash the Clams forever. After your victory with Ahien, General Falador and King Meade have hired you, to once again, SAVE THE CLAMS!
Also, the one city left has shut their doors, but there may be an underground passageway...

British Columbia 3D
version 2.1
rated 2.2 (29 votes)
by Kartofile

This map is three dimensional. Here's how to play it:

1. Go find a pair of RED-BLUE 3D glasses! You can get paper ones for cheap or free at some comic book stores or on the Internet. (Google "free 3d glasses") For this map, the left lens should be red and the right lens should be blue, not cyan or green.

2. Do NOT try to play this map with more than three players. This is because the glasses limit the number of colors you can see, and it is NO FUN to play with six similar shades of gray!

3. For two players, make the player colors BLACK and WHITE. For three players, make the player colors black, white and a medium gray. Using other colors can be confusing or hard on your eyes.

Feel free to post comments or questions in the Map LAB forum. Enjoy!

Teloporting Land
version 1.1
rated 2.1 (59 votes)
by Bryce

I just made this map to be a joke. Download it to have a hilarious, but still fun game. How to play this map? everything touches the Circle teleporter. this means that you want to take it. the teleporters just connect with each other, and it is obvious how the rest works. I don't care for a bad or good rating, it is just for the hecl of making a map for the fun of a crazy game. I mean, if you lose the circle teleporter, it is almost impossible that it will be permenant. So go for it!

mapLAB update: Added starting scenario, made room for PI window.

The Lands Of Circles
version 1.2
rated 2.1 (38 votes)
by Ted The Bug

Some people are just dumb. The Gargoyles are some of these people. Their great plan to built "a land of circles" has worked perfectly...except they made squares! Morons. Anyway, since they are using it for rubber ducky factories, you feel inclined to put them out of their misery. Also, what's with all the disco music? It's driving your troops nuts. Even worse, some of the squares are falling apart or even completely destroyed...
P.S. If you are behind its OK. Ive seen someone come back from when they had 4 places.
P.P.S. Hold the cities, they are your main income!
P.P.P.S. Sorry if the places are a bit small.

Numberline
version 1.0
rated 2.1 (32 votes)
by n00less cluebie

Number theory: Lux Style.

From any of the whole numbers 0-25 on the map you may either add or subtract by 1, multiply or divide by 2, square the number or take the square-root, but beware! Some operations may take you out-of-range into either numbers too big, too small, or into non-integers, either rational or irrational!
