Re: FORUM :: MAFIA XXXIII
It's very possible that the dead person part isn't too strict, and I am wrong about this, but... Can CSI investigate a dead person before they are known to be dead?SunTzu wrote:
[*]CSI Investigator* - Investigates one dead person to learn the names of everybody that has ever targeted that person (Steal, Mug, Frame, Convert to a Cult, Handgun Attack, Knife Attack, or Werewolf Attack) but not who did what. Starts the game with a handgun.
Why should we vote for the the likely killer of the Cult Leader?n00less cluebie wrote:I have been contacted by someone claiming to be the CSI who saw that Mud was visited by Big Will E Style
I will switch my vote to
Big Will E Style
should he prove innocent, the identity of my informant will be revealed, whether or not I am also killed tonight.
If BWE visited Mud and Mud is now dead... wouldn't that imply BWE killed him?
abstain for now

A CSI Investigator can only investigate dead people. If they try to investigate someone who isn't dead, they won't get any information.kude wrote:It's very possible that the dead person part isn't too strict, and I am wrong about this, but... - Although law enforcement officals always have a handgun, they may not target anybody at night. Also, federal regulations prohibit them from transfering weapons to other players.
As the Investigations occur AFTER Attacks, would that mean that a CSI investigator may investigate a player who was alive BEFORE the night and then died during the attack phase?

I saw that, too. It's still quite a long shot that someone would put in an investigation on the off-chance that Mud would be killed. Much more sensible to choose Whirls.
And Mud was a baddie. It's possible he talked to the wrong person too early. An innocent with an army surplus weapon could have offed him because of that.
More interesting is that only one person had contact with Mud, according to this CSI. He was around; I would guess he'd try to convert someone, which would happen before an attack in the order of operations.

So why not simply say you are an innocent who bought a weapon instead of claiming a non-existent role? On the positive side you DID help confirm the trustworthiness of my source, so...thanks for thatBig Will E Style wrote:<------- Vigilante
Was kind of pissed at Mud for suiciding me this past week. Took a page out of Dolla's book.
