The winner of the last game quits, so Landlord becomes the defacto host of the room, and immediately restarts the second the game ends so that I cannot guest out, forcing me to play in a game with 3 bots...

I would say, a manual restart before the time runs down by the host is fine, but only if all players agreed somehow.

The timer is explicitly intendend for giving people the chance to guest in and out or use the small break for some freshups between the games .
So an immediate restart by the host should not be the usual case and is not ok as long as there was no agreement by all players.
So I at least recommend to ask in future in chat before restarting to avoid getting accused of abuse of the guest-host-powers.

There have been lots of discussions about that practice already (not only landlord acting that way). Maybe Dustin could decrease the timer between games a bit as it is IMHO very long. I do understand people don't want to wait for the autorestart, especially if there are only a few humans and games are quick.

Restarting a game for the intention to force someone intentionally to play another game after he said he would leave next game would definitly be an abuse! So be gentle and talk to each other in chat and find agreements before restarting! If you feel someone abuses this feature intentionally please send an report.

Landlord immediately begins the game by asshatting me and suiciding. I am down to 7 men in Argentina and 2 men in Madagascar by round 3 playing bio, but with some luck I am able to resolutely pull off a victory despite Landlord's asshattery.
