Poor Drifter; always stuck at work; despite disaster:

(Thankfully, they're busy tearing down and rebuilding as we speak.)

It's like a subtle jeep commercial

If you would have told me it would be over two years later that things would be mostly back to normal, I'd a told you that you were nuts...

It was bad enough the tornado destroyed the building and most of our files, but the owner's wife filed for divorce a month later... and I mean she applied for the "I'm gonna destroy you" option (not because he cheated or anything else, she's just wanted the money), and she damn near did it.

The city wouldn't let us start rebuilding for a few months, because they had to sort thru the new building codes. So after buying a shell of a building, we had to build it out and the office was the last to get done due to the divorce (partly why spend a lot of money if you'll lose the building, but the owner had to build himself a place to live in the building as well). All the while we had new projects we had to start pop up outta nowhere, because the files had been blown into the next county.

It's just been a couple of months ago since the permanent office was finished and all of the surprise jobs cycled out. But for the last two years the boss has sat five feet away from me, and I can't get online to read the forums unless he rarely leaves town, which is why I'm not around much these days... if he wasn't out of town today I wouldn't be here now. And after sittin in front of a computer all day at work I'll be damned if I get on one at home.

Hopefully I'll have a lil more me time in the future from here on out.
