Bot's rules of engagement...
I'm only asking this cause the word around town is that you guys are lazy and need more work.
Using Reaper as the example... (cause easy bots are easy enough to figure out)
Bertrand, I've heard you mention that Reaper won't attack "blank" if his armies equal "blank". Or, Reaper sets his starting placement based on cont worth, then cost, etc.
Do you guys keep a list of the rules your bots follow, such as how they determine where to farm or army ratios they act upon?
I was thinking it might help with building better starting scenerios or bot specific maps.
I'm just asking, if it's not that easy or if you feel that this sort of information would give players an edge, no worries...

If we are lazy, then we need *less* work, not more....my wife hates me wrote:...you guys are lazy and need more work.
That is *mostly* true today, except for some rare cases like finishing up a continent take over.my wife hates me wrote:Reaper won't attack "blank" if his armies equal "blank"
Funny you should mention this. As I type this I am testing yet another version that uses the *true* odds before attacking, instead of simply comparing the number of armies. So far it seems to give real good results, so this will probably make it into the next version.
Why yes, the list of rules is called Reaper.java, 6500 lines of code. I can't believe I typed and debugged each one of them.my wife hates me wrote:Do you guys keep a list of the rules your bots follow, such as how they determine where to farm or army ratios they act upon?
